Got to move on some time

As I'm moving (no, not to Norn Iron just yet, still gotta save up money) on the 31st, I'll be Internet-less from then until I get it hooked up at the new Sparrow's Nest. I don't know how long that'll be, so I'll see you when I see you. Hopefully it won't take AT&T more than a month, ha.

Good luck with the move, when did you say you had your breakdown penciled in for ?

If the men in white coats do come a knocking, please make sure they've got internet access at the institution.

Has himself flown the coop?

LK -- We finally got teh Interwebs hooked up at the Institution. My folks couldn't understand why on earth I would want the Internet (insert eye roll here). All my parents do is eat, sleep, and watch sitcom reruns. Kill me now, please.

Manuel -- Himself is a bit testy lately, what with having to live with my parents, also known as Martha Stewart and Kim Jong Il. I don't think I'll be mentioning it. It'll be a while 'til we're noshing on an Six County Occupied Fry, anyway, as what with all the passports we have to get, and saving up for plane fare... well, we'll still be in suburban hell for a while.

Conan -- No, he's here at the folk's with me and the Nestling Sparrow. The Fledgling Sparrow's off to Uni. We're trying to save up to get to Norn Iron, but the finances are dodgy, so it'll be awhile. I'll try to get a future blog post going to 'splain it all, but it's just so depressing.

i've lived without the internet. it's not fun. but i have been getting into these fiction stories posted online and since then, i haven't watched tv half as much and i don't eat as much. but i'm starting to fall asleep at the computer.

PD -- Ah, 1998, or was it '99? "X-Files" fanfic, 'shipper, of course. I didn't fall asleep at the computer, but I did wear out a vibrator.

My folks watch endless re-runs of "Two and a Half Men" at full volume. There's only so much a person can be expected to bear, truly.

two and a half-men is no where near as bad as lou dobbs, the o'reilly report, gunsmoke, bonanza, gene autry, or any other western played at a volume so loud the neighbors a mile away could probably hear it.

i'm super glad i live alone.

i'm addicted to the x-men (wolverine and rogue) fanfic and the southern vampire mysteries fanfic. alexander skarsgard as eric northman - totally vibrator worthy.

and what the heck does shipper mean anyway? i've yet to figure that out.

one day, y'all will look back and laugh...ok, y'all will be older than dirt, but laugh y'all will! ;~D xoxox

PD -- Okay, you have a point. At least they don't watch Faux News or any of that crap. But still, if they watched a show with an original plot, it would fry their brains.

For X-Philes, a 'shipper is someone who wanted Mulder and Scully to get together and bump uglies. It's short for "relationship(per)." We won't get in to the dreaded flame wars of who was for and who was against it. Chris Carter managed to fuck up the show far more seriously than even the worst fanfic.

I'm familiar with "X-Men" (the Spouse Sparrow and the Fledgling Sparrow being fans) but haven't read any current vampire stuff. I'm a "Buffy" fan; all vampires should be staked, except for Spike, who is highly fuckable.

Savannah -- Oh yeah, just like the stories about The Ex, which were not so funny at the time, I'm sure that years from now all of this will be hilarious. Once we get the storage units sorted out and the stuff sold off, I may even have a bit of time to blog.

I tried to say that with a straight face, really.

I trust that the dust is settling and that you will soon be able to purge the recent accumulation of societal ills that vex you.

Looking forward to that...and yes Richie and Sparrow? Fo real? That kid is in for a world of hurt.
All night long
all night
all night long

Donn -- No, we're stirring up more dirt! although what with us trying to sell off the contents of 2 storage units, I am purging, all right, purging all over Craigslist.

And yes, I'm still pissed off about that "Sparrow" thing, but it just goes to show you how timely your post was, huh?

Are you still purging or have you moved on to binging?

Please tell me Papa John didn´t do it. Topanga Canyon will never seem the same again - sob.

So you're commenting, just not posting? What gives?

Norn Irn! Cool. By about 40-50 degrees on average. After this summer in So. Cal. I was ready to move somewhere, anywhere green and rainy instead of orange and on fire. Nice one. Good luck with the move.

Donn -- I'm a lazy effer who's moved on to coughing up lung cookies. I get to use Martian Death Plague as an excuse now.

JH -- You know what he said to her after? "Why the long face?"

Jay -- If I comment on other people's blogs, I can manage to be funny. If I post on my own blog, it's gonna be major drama/nervous breakdown/go-on-Oprah/have-Dr. Phil-show-up-unannounced-at-my-psych-ward time. So I figured I'd wait 'til the holidays to do that, for dramatic effect and all, not to mention extra presents.

Sam -- Thanks! It'll be nice not having heat stroke every summer.

ARe you still posting here? Is this blog alive?

Fat Sparrow said...

Mago -- I've been meaning to post here, but for someone who has nothing to do, I've been kinda busy. Plus I'm lazy, so I go and comment on other people's blogs.

Do you pronounce "Mago" with a hard "G" or a soft "G"? I keep telling Himself to ask you but he never does.

mago said...

My "g" is hard.

Fat Sparrow said...

Mago -- See, I had suspected your "G" was hard.

We're still talking about the same thing, right?
